Personality Color: Your Motivation in Cosmic Human Design

Your Personality Color is a profound aspect of your Primary Health System (PHS) that reveals your inherent Motivation. This is the unconscious drive that fuels your mind's perspective and dictates what truly moves you in life. While your Design (body) side is about correct form and health, your Personality (mind) side is about your unique consciousness and how it is designed to perceive and interact with the world.

 

Understanding your Personality Color is key to recognizing the authentic drive behind your thoughts, desires, and actions.

 

When you operate from your true Motivation, your mind functions with clarity, purpose, and less resistance. However, when you fall into transference, your mind operates from a distorted motivation, pulling you away from your true path and leading to mental conditioning and frustration.

 

Recognizing your unique transference pattern is the first step towards liberating your mind to fulfill its true purpose as a witness and outer authority.

Understanding Left (Strategic) vs. Right (Receptive) Motivation

Just like with Design Tones and Colors, your Personality Color (Motivation) is either Left-fixed (Strategic) or Right-fixed (Receptive).

 

This fixation determines the fundamental way your mind is designed to process and engage with its motivation.

 

Left-Fixed (Strategic) Motivation (Colors 1, 2, 3):

Nature:

 

Strategic, active, focused, and linear in its approach to motivation.

 

The mind is designed to have a specific agenda, to seek out and pursue its motivation directly. It's about a focused drive towards a particular outcome or understanding.

 

  • How it Operates: This mind is always "on," actively seeking to fulfill its motivational drive. It thrives on clear objectives and a sense of direction.

  • Transference: When in transference, the strategic mind can become overly rigid, obsessive, or try to force its agenda, leading to mental exhaustion and frustration.

 

Right-Fixed (Receptive) Motivation (Colors 4, 5, 6):  

Nature:

Receptive, passive, peripheral, and holistic in its approach to motivation.

 

The mind is designed to absorb and integrate motivation from its environment, without needing to actively pursue it. It's about a broad, open awareness that allows motivation to come to it.

 

How it Operates: This mind thrives on a relaxed, non-linear approach. It learns through observation and allows insights and motivations to emerge naturally.

 

Transference: When in transference, the receptive mind can become scattered, easily distracted, or overly influenced by external motivations, leading to a loss of its own unique perspective.

 

Motivation : FEAR

If your PHS Personality Color is 1, your core motivation is Fear. This isn't necessarily a negative, debilitating fear, but a fundamental, unconscious drive towards security, certainty, and survival. It's the primal impulse to ensure safety and stability. The underlying motivation for the first line's insecurity and its drive to find a solid foundation is fear itself.

Binary

This Color operates on a Communalist—Separatist binary. This is a "prana," an ongoing flow between the two. The Communalist seeks safety in numbers, believing that by sharing space with others, they can work together to establish a solid foundation. The Separatist, conversely, runs away from others, building walls and keeping people at a distance, believing it is safer to be alone. This is not a fixed state; it is an organic process that moves back and forth.

Trajectory

This color is an underlying evolutionary pattern rooted in migratory behavior. It drives individuals and groups to find a solid foundation, and the moment they feel secure, a new separatist impulse grows to move on and find a new foundation. This process of community formation followed by separation is an underlying motivation in humanity's evolution. However, in the modern world, this trajectory is reaching an end-game as we run out of new places to conquer.

Transference to NEED

When in transference, your fear-based motivation shifts to Need. You become driven by the need to acquire, possess, or consume to feel secure. This can manifest as the need to "master" something to prove your competence, or conversely, a feeling of being a "novice" who needs to constantly gather more information without ever feeling secure. This 'need' is a distortion of your authentic search for a solid, factual foundation

Motivation HOPE:

If your PHS Personality Color is 2, your core motivation is Hope. This is not a blind or naive hope, but a deep, existential yearning for potential and fulfillment. It's the theme that brings spirituality into our lives.

 

You are born to wait and believe in the "call" – the inherent potential for things to unfold correctly.

 

This hope is for a better life, for the fulfillment of your purpose, and for being recognized.

 

You inherently trust that things will work out, believing in your potential and the possibilities of the future. Proof means nothing to you; your motivation is about what is not provable.

Binary:

This Color operates on a Theist—Anti-theist binary. This is a "prana," an ongoing flow between the two.

 

The Theist yearns for an existential quality, seeking a strategic advantage in belief to motivate or manipulate others (e.g., "if you believe, this will happen"). They move towards a belief system.

 

The Anti-theist experiences existential realities without boundaries, often giving up on decisions and having no thirst for the rewards of knowing. They move away from rigid belief.

Trajectory:

This color brings a dimension into our life that cannot be proved. It opens us up to what is spiritual and to absolutely everything that's possible. It brings both the glorious and the profane.

 

It is a theme in us that opens us up to wonder, but also to believing in things without proof.

 

The Anti-theist experiences existential realities without boundaries, often giving up on decisions and having no thirst for the rewards of knowing. They move away from rigid belief.

 

Transference to GUILT:

When in transference, your hope-based motivation shifts to Guilt. You become motivated to "do something," to fix things, to make things better, or to make others fix things.

 

This can lead to losing yourself, assuming you have to find a way through constant action, and feeling guilty if you don't "make a difference." This 'guilt' is a distortion of your authentic hope for potential.

Motivation DESIRE:

If your PHS Personality Color is 3, your core motivation is Desire. This is a burning drive to understand "how" things work and to engage with the flow of life. It is a fundamentally mutative force, leading to the unexpected.

 

You are driven by a deep desire to lead, take control, or simply follow the natural flow of life itself. Your mind is periodically active, looking for transitions and anomalies, and collecting data through action.

 

The unexpected is part of the goal of desire: to get to a place where nobody has been before. This is about exploring new territories for the mind.

Binary/ Mode:

This Color operates on a Leader—Follower binary. This is an "ongoing prana."

 

The Leader has a burning desire to lead, take control, and run the show. They are driven to open up new mental ways of grasping things.

 

The Follower doesn't follow a leader other than life itself, sensing and following the flow in the now. They are built to follow and learn.

Trajectory / Implications

This theme is about learning and education. It's a mental orientation, pushing you to mental resolutions. It's about exploring mentally in trial and error, not necessarily physically.

The highest level of a 3rd line being's life is when they can deal with what they've experienced and work it through on the mental plane to tell others.

Transference to INNOCENCE:

When in transference, your desire-based motivation shifts to Innocence. This can manifest as a "Why bother?" attitude, where the burning desire to lead or engage fails, leading to a sense of detachment or disinterest. This 'innocence' is a distortion of your authentic desire to explore and engage.

Motivation: NEED

If your PHS Personality Color is 4, your core motivation is Need. This motivation develops the "how" of the 3rd Color, focusing on learning and understanding in the present moment. This is the real opportunity mentally that comes in life: to go through the process of being a novice and mastering something.

 

You are here to learn in the Now, taking in experiences without pretense or strategic manipulation. Your mind is often quiet, leading to the potential for deep influence and the ability to ignore or not interfere with your thought process. The imperative here is not looking outward, but looking inward.

 

Mode / Binary:

This Color operates on a Master—Novice binary. This is an "ongoing prana."

 

The Master tells others what to do and often needs to seek the Novice perspective to truly learn.

 

The Novice is here to learn and ideally begins as a Novice in their true-self, constantly experiencing things as new.

 

Trajectory:

Your trajectory involves learning in the Now.

 

This 4th Color is always in transference and is considered unstable, making it a crucial point where the Magnetic Monopole pulls together Design and Personality frequencies into the illusion of self.

 

It has a mental orientation, pushing you to mental resolutions. The only way to bring somebody to inner vision is through the deeply personal.

Transference to NEED:

When in transference, your need-based motivation often shifts to Fear. What is truly needed is not delivered because the focus becomes survival in the Now rather than what’s needed for the future. This 'fear' is a distortion of your authentic need to learn and master.

Motivation GUILT:

If your PHS Personality Color is 5, your core motivation is Guilt. This motivation drives you to take action, fix things, and have an impact.

 

You are motivated to "do something" about whatever your line happens to be – to have an impact, to repair things, to get involved, or to have yourself fixed or changed.

 

Your mind works through the emotional experiential frequency, seeing different things about the same issues until it reaches a point of judgment. Guilt is the most powerful conditioning force we have.

Binary:

This Color operates on a Conditioner—Conditioned binary.

 

The Conditioner manipulates others into a strategy, driven by the desire to fix or repair. This is about conditioning people or deconditioning people, trying to unify the spirit level on the planet.

 

The Conditioned is impacted by the collective "penta" (the collective field of humanity), rather than directly by the individual conditioner.

Trajectory:

Your trajectory involves experiencing your motivation through all the different ways the mind can perceive it. The true judgmental mind bypasses manipulation and can be aware of the emotional plane if not transferred.

 

This color is about a conforming process, or anti-conforming process. The mutation that is coming will make less and less human beings open to conditioning or deconditioning.

Transference to HOPE:

When in transference, your guilt-based motivation shifts to Hope. This leads to hoping for the wrong things, resulting in nothing getting fixed. You may do nothing, not get your purpose, and end up with many problems, caught in a cycle of conditioning. This 'hope' is a distortion of your authentic drive to impact and repair.

Motivation INNOCENCE:

If your PHS Personality Color is 6, your core motivation is Innocence. This is about maintaining personal integrity and observing without being absorbed.

 

Your deepest drive is to maintain innocence and personal integrity, to stand above things without involvement. You simply watch, without needing hope, and your evolutionary goal is to observe yourself rather than being absorbed in self.

 

This is about being "touched" and having "the touch" where things just work because you are yourself.

Binary:

This Color operates on an Observer—Observed binary.

 

The Observer judges the effectiveness of the tonal strategy, maintaining a distant observation to act without full engagement. They are the "fool on the hill" sought out for wisdom.

 

The Observed represents the existential perfection of being, a collection of all things that have been observed. This is the living example, someone who transforms others by just how they move.

 

Trajectory:

Your trajectory is about not being involved, simply watching. You don't see correctly when conceptualizing the experience.

 

This color is deeply connected to the transformation of the sixth line and the emergence of the living role-model who needs no conditioning.

 

It's about giving up the security of aloofness and position of authority to go back into the world as themselves, living as a living example.

Transference to DESIRE:

When in transference, your innocence-based motivation shifts to Desire. This can manifest as feeling pushed by a desire to be something, do something, get involved, be committed, or move towards a goal, pulling you away from your natural state of detached observation. This 'desire' is a distortion of your authentic innocence and observation.

How to Configure Genetic Matrix for Cosmic Human Design Charts

Important Note: While these settings will bring your Genetic Matrix chart as close as possible to a Cosmic Human Design chart, it may not be an exact replica. However, for most people, it will be very close and highly accurate.

 

To follow these steps, you MUST HAVE a Pro Account with Genetic Matrix.

Step 1: Access Settings

Log in to your Genetic Matrix Pro Account. Navigate to the main 'Settings' area.

Step 2: Astrology System Settings

Scroll down within the settings until you locate the section titled 'Astrology System Settings'.

  • Click inside the relevant box or dropdown menu until you find and select: True Sidereal - C (Chimenti).

Step 3: Astro HD House Setting

Find the 'Astro HD House Setting' option.

  • Click to select: Equal.

Step 4: Astro HD Sidereal Settings

Locate the 'Astro HD Sidereal Settings' section.

  • For 'Ayanamsha', scroll to the bottom of the list and select: User Defined SVP.

  • In the 'Fixed Sidereal Vernal Point' field, carefully type in the exact value: 31.72.

Once all these settings have been adjusted, remember to click the 'Update' or 'Save' button to apply your changes.
